If there is one thing I have learned after thirty plus years in the pastorate on two continents, it's that church is not about programs. It's about people and the presence of God.

The only thing you need to find the right church is discernment. A frequent comment I hear from visitors at FBCS is that the moment they entered the church facility they sensed love and God's Presence. No greater compliment can be paid to a local church.

FBCS leadership is dedicated to protecting the peace and unity of our church family. It is in this atmosphere that the true needs of people are met and Jesus Christ is glorified.

Recently, one of the members of our church family that drives a great distance to be with us said, "You can tell the moment you walk in that God's Presence is there. I need that." While inspired worship and practical Biblical preaching is important; while Christ-centered ministry is available to every age level; it was the atmosphere of genuineness, peace and love that was valued.

Another member of our church family recently made a comment that was one of the most encouraging and insightful I had ever heard. While walking to my car after a Sunday morning service I was told, "Pastor, our church may not be large but in the military there is a branch of service called 'special forces.' We're a special-forces church."

I have thought about that statement a number of times. FBCS is special. It's God's Presence and His people that make a church what it truly is in power and effectiveness. The family of FBCS is who we are. If you're thinking of community, genuineness and true spirituality then you're thinking Faith Bible Chapel South

My wife Sheila and I would like to meet you when you visit with us. We hope that will be soon.
